2016-03-25 12.04.10

Anticipating: the completion of the kitchen makeover.

Being: held by the Great One.

Compiling: things to do to clear the clutter from the house.

Drinking: Decaf coffee and lots of water.

Embracing: the mess that comes with home renovations.

Focusing: on the abundant blessings in my life.

Grateful: for it all… even the hard things.

Happy: to celebrate six months of marriage!

Ignoring: house chores (see “Embracing”)

Jumping: into drafting a new novel… research comes first!

Knitting: the blanket I started for my sister over a year ago.

Listening: to Inkdeath by Cornelia Funke.

Making: plans for a beach getaway in June.

Noticing: loads of flowers blooming.

Obsessing: over Steffany Gretzinger’s album The Undoing

Proud: to be able to work in my home office again.

Quitting: expectations.  Reality is so good already as it unfolds.  It’s not my job to see the future.

Reading: Nancy Drew books by the dozens.

Sitting: on my newly painted turquoise (thank you Noah!) Adirondack chair.

Thinking: about the Parable of the Talents

Upgrading: my calligraphy pens, and letting go of the ones I’ve outgrown.

Visiting: family, friends and fishing holes.

Watching: Monster Fish, Brooklyn 99, and just wrapped up Fixer Upper and Chuck

X-ing: “Taxes” off my to do list.

Yearning: for a humble heart.

Zooming: through this year!  How is it April already?
